Mother-of-pearl, also known as nacre, forms in nature at lower temperatures than ceramic because it is a biomineral formed by living organisms such as mollusks. The formation of mother-of-pearl is a biological process that occurs at relatively low temperatures within the organism's body. In contrast, ceramic is a man-made material that requires high temperatures to be formed through processes like firing and sintering. Therefore, the natural formation of mother-of-pearl at lower temperatures is a result of the biological processes involved in its creation. **
